The school is administered by a Board of Directors elected by industry stakeholders. The Board of Directors is comprised of eight state department of agriculture’s, or comparable state agency’s, representatives; six university/cooperative extension representatives; one representative of USDA ; three industry organization representatives; two industry representatives and lifetime honorary directors. The Board of Directors is elected at the annual National Egg Quality School meeting held in conjunction with the International Poultry Exposition. The annual meeting is open to all industry stakeholders with an interest in egg quality. Anyone interested in receiving a meeting notice may contact E.L. Knicely at EL.Knicely@vdacs.virginia.gov. Any industry stakeholder attending the annual meeting can make nominations, vote in the election and vote on changes to the bylaws. The newly elected Board of Directors then elects a Director, Assistant Director, Treasurer, Secretary and NEQS Coordinator who are responsible for administering the school.
